Hello I'm new to this forum as well as SPD. My son was diagnosed only a few months ago. He is in kindergaten and is having a lot of behavioral problems. We are in the process of getting a 504 in place so I know that currently his sensory needs are not being met.
I was wondering if anyone's child with SPD copies other childern for attention. He knows that the other children are making bad choices (he will actually say those words) but he still copies them and in return he is getting into trouble at school. Is this a typical behavior for a child with SPD? And if so how should I deal with it. We have tried talking to him about it numerous times with no secess.
