Hello. Came to this site for support and to learn more.
My 6-yr-old son's recent well child visit (this time to a naturopath, finally!) resulted in a referral to an Occupational Therapist for possible SPD. The more I learn about it, the more I think it's probable. In fact, I suspect my older son may also have it, on top of his NLD.
So now I'm on the rollercoaster ride of finding a therapist that A) accepts our insurance, B) is closer than two hours away?!, and C) doesn't have a 6-month waiting list. Feeling kinda frustrated.
