Hi! My son has pretty recently been diagnosed with SPD/mild ADHD/and tested "gifted". He's 4yo and currently in private school. We are now finding out that public school is where all of the resources are and beginning this very frustrating journey to get him the attention he needs to thrive in school. Unfortunately, I don't think there are any play groups or mom support groups in my area in south Louisiana, so I'm turning to this forum. We are starting the IEP process as well as trying to get him moved to the public school. I find the hardest part is just waiting on others to return calls, etc. Would love to hear of anything that helped others and their journeys.
