My son comes home from school and tells me. “Mommy I’m a bad kid”. My heart breaks. They take his sensory toys away and normally throw him in the office. I’ve been reading and reasearching allot but if anyone else has been through this please feel free to help. All suggestions will be highly appreciate.
Your son has a disability, if I were you I'd go to that school and explain to them that your son needs these tools that are meant to help him and if they don't accommodate his needs I'll go ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) on your ass... Though in nicer words, but make it clear to them that they can't discriminate against your son, that's the law and that you're not willing to take their shit. (Word it in a way that might not be as abrasiveness as I would be.) Sometimes in school settings you have to be your child's defender. I hope things get better for you. <3
