Hi all I just came across your site today doing some research to help out my girls. I have 2 daughters with SPD. My youngest is just turned 3 and she was recently diagnosed as a Sensory Seeker. We started OT with her yesterday. From the readings about her and SPD in general I have self diagnosed her older sister (4.5yrs) as textbook over sensitive. Finally i have some answers about her behaviour which I couldn't never work out and took her to nutritionalists, kineisiologists, chiro ..... Anyway we'll started implementing a sensory diet at home and therapy for Laura and look forward to some positive changes. The articles on this site have been agreat resource already.

Welcome!!! I have a five year old diagnosed with SPD and a two year old who is in early intervention for motor delays I'm starting to think maybe has SPD as well.
Hi Lucia! Welcome! I have a 10 year old who has SPD and anxiety. He's more sensory defensive/avoidant. My younger son has seeker tendencies. I have an appt to have him evaluated on Sept 13th--his 7th birthday!
Welcome, I'm 18 within the last year diagnosed with SPD and I go to OT about every two weeks, It can be challenging but perseverance is everything hang in there
Wow, I also have two children with SPD. My 4 year old has a mild case and is under sensitive. My youngest I was told is a sensory seeker and hypersensitive. She is 23 months.
Heatherv that mirrors our house. How are you finding things? Are they both in OT?

Yes, both girls are in OT. My older SPDer is doing beautifully. Alot of her "quirks" are very well managed. My 23 month old, she is a very severe case, which her therapist told me was almost debilitating. She is starting to respond fairly well to her OT now, shows more affection now.
