Heather, Did you ever think of getting that book published?
I have looked into it,I can't afford it, I have sent it to snap fish and made copies of it. I put one in an OT basket for a silent auction along with a weighted blanket I had made for a conference in Nov. I am just so totally not confident of myself! lol, took me about two years to allow myself to start selling the blankets. I can see my imperfections and it makes me crazy, but I have gotten past it with the blankets with all the people that have thanked me and how they have helped their kids so that is so much more important then my crooked seam! So if anyone ever did want one I have them ready to go on snap fish and I can order them from there. lol Just have to find my password! hahaahaha I have so many "prototypes" of things I made for my son for him to use and one is so awesome!!!!! Takes a lot of time to make, but it is so cool!!!! I just don't know how to go about it, afraid the idea would be stolen and well nobody wants that to happen to themselves. My son's former Speech Path when he was in EI she loved it and said she would be a backer, but I was not ready at the time. I was new to the SPD and so overwhelmed I was just thinking of things to try and do for him because I couldn't afford to buy the stuff! So I made everything he needed if I could not find a cheaper route. ( My x husband was in denial too so that didn't help when I needed to buy things for him)Well... that's my story! Smile
:-) yay!! Sounds like you're doing great work with him. Have you read stellaluna together? A lot of kids really connect with its message.
