Announcing our community awareness event:
"Fine Arts are Sensational, One Step at a Time" Program and Provider Expo
We are currently in the preliminary planning of our event and looking for interested acts to perform, at our “Fine Arts are Sensational, One Step at a time†Program Provider EXPO. Our SENSATION CELEBRATION this year truly embodies the dedication and triumph families who are raising children with Sensory Processing Disorder find every day. These families like the dedicated scientists and doctors who continue researching SPD all began this journey "One Step at a Time". Now you can join these remarkable families and researchers in communities all over the world by participating in our annual international event! Often times our children cannot adequately take part in the arts because of sensory issues. However, it has been found that music and movement help with sensory challenges. SPD SUPPORT El Paso, TX is having an event to promote, expose, and encourage the arts such as music, song, dance, and theater. This allows children and adults with SPD the opportunity to see, hear, feel and experience hands on and to love Fine Arts. Our theme is Halloween. Children and adults are encouraged to come in costume if they would like. Families often ask us for a list of providers and wonder where they can get services. (such as Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy etc.) We are looking for exhibitors to take part in our Provider EXPO, who are interested in promoting their services and passing out treats (no candy) that will provide a safe place to trick or treat. This enables the families with a one “stop shop†while allowing their children to be exposed to the arts.
