SPD Support Forum

Anyone on here had a child with SPD having chicken pox. My son started with it last night and screamed the place down when I said what it was. He is an itchy scratchy sort of person before chicken pox. How have others kids reacted to them. Not looking forward to it. Any advice really welcome.

Have had other children without SPD who have had them, just wondering if its worse for my little man.

It's Monday and he has had them since Friday. I am pleasantly surprised he has only got a handful of them and he is not scratching them. They are starting to get scabs on and it has not affected him one little bit. Which is the total opposite of my other children.

How strange.

I hope he gets better soon. I remember having chicken pox it was not fun. As he gets older like in his 60s he will need the vacine for shingles because shingles are caused by the chicken pox virus.
