New Home - what do you think? - Dani - 06-01-2011

Hey everyone. I just felt I should give you a nice place to voice any concerns or comments you may have about the new site and the move in general. I am open to questions too, of course. Smile
Thanks.

Looks nice, seems to be working great, very masculine looks to the color scheme and such (not complaining just an observation)

I like it! It feels easier on the eye, somehow. I'm a real fan of blue and grey. Orange makes a nice contrast. It feels more comfortable and yet more professional all at the same time. What's weird is, now I can't remember what color the old one was. I should have done a screen shot so I could compare and contrast with more technical detail. But, anyway, I think it's great! Good job Smile

...also, in the announcement post, when I clicked the link for Suggestions, Site and Management, it page opened in a new window. I don't know if you meant to do that or not. If you didn't I thought you might want to know.
Again - I think the new site looks great!

Thanks Angela.
As for the color scheme, I want to personally thank Sila for the help she put in on that one. I much appreciated it. I do, in the future, plan on creating more custom themes that offer different color schemes to allow people to switch between a handful of possibilities.

Thank you too Lane Smile.
I also loved the way this color scheme provided that nice balance between comfort and professionalism, which is why I ultimately went with it. The old site was primarily multiple shades of blue. I used some pale green for an accent color in places such as the navigation bar color when you hovered over it. The navigation bar itself though was a vibrant shade of blue. While a lot of that was modified by me, there were plenty of elements from the old design that were basically just the default styles of the MyBB framework. This current site's style is largely customized.

Actually, all links found in posts should take users to a new tab/window (depending on settings). It's a feature of the software and not necessarily a bug, per say. Thanks for reporting it though. It very well could have been a bug, and I'm always interested in finding out about those.

Thanks again guys. As usual, let me know if there's something that could be improved upon.
