DDR is a video game, basically songs play and arrows flow on screen in beat to the song, and you have to dance around on a mat to hit all the arrows in time. For me it's fun but very tiring.

For your daughter, it could be a combination of both, or it could just be that she's not able to understand her body's signals yet. Try setting a time limit ( reasonable one) on activities she likes but you know gets her tired out. Work on making the transition easy, and that might help.
