Have you tried nutritional supplements, rather than drugs? Omega fatty acid supplements, probiotics, vitamin D, diet changes (gluten, soy and dairy can all trigger SPD reactions). Ask your doctor for a nutritional evaluation; if you are lacking in key nutrients that can definitely effect your brain (I see this in my SPD son every day). Especially right after pregnancy women tend to be lower than they should be in some vitamins.
