Our 21 year old son has many of the symptoms described on a couple of the check lists I have seen lately. He has not been diagnosed with SPD, yet but boy it sure sounds like it is coming. He has had what we have considered "sensitivity issues" with clothes, seams, socks, etc. which has always been the primary issue. However, over the last couple of years, he is amazingly sensitive to water (rain, shower, sweat) touching his skin. He describes it as a needle prickling feeling. As of the last month, he reports that the prickling feeling is now happening throughout the day and is not directly related to water at all. We live in IL. Do any of you know a doctor that is trained in diagnosing this and what we can do to help him?
