I love how you explained this, I am a mom of a SPD child of 8 yr old and a girlfriend to a man who is going to be 50 and I think he just realized he has SPD because of watching what my son goes through. He (the grown man) can only tlerate certain textures, is very OCD, high anxiety when we are getting ready to go somewhere, super sensory seeking, cannot transition unless he finishes a task. HOrrible behavior problems as a child and of course labled as one because of the era. Very obessive behaviors. Seems to me he could be too. HOw do you cope as an adult?
