Our History

What is SPD International?

SPD International is our parent website, and the former home of our support forum. It is currently a site dedicated to our organization and our blossoming SPD summer camp in Maine.

SPD International is all about community. It exists to support parents, adults, and professionals who's lives are effected by SPD in some way. It has been in operation since 2007, and is currently in the process of finishing paperwork to become an official non-profit organization. Michelle Morris founded the organization in Florida, and is moving to Maine, where she will be "planting the seeds" to grow a camp for SPD kids, adults, professionals, and parents throughout the world. It will operate all summer long and be available as a resort during the winter. Check out the site regularly for progress updates!

SPD Support – Official Member of SPD International

You are currently on the home site of SPD Support, the Host community hub, support forum site, and parent resource center ran by SPD International, our parent site.

This site is open now, and focusses on each individual member for who they are as a person. In a world that may seem to be dominated by disorders, it is important to remember who we are, and that we each have interests of our own. This is a community comprised of people who are effected by SPD, but it will not always discuss SPD, and SPD alone. Topics are allowed to vary to help members get to know each other better.

The SPD International Website Family

SPD International has two sibling sites, both SPD Support and SPD Life. It also used to have SPDParentSHARE.com, though that site has since been combined with the support boards from SPDInternational.org to create SPD Support. This website family is more than just websites though, it is people!
